I usually write my texts in English, but as part of the photo and spoken word project ‘Over Laak Gesproken’ (Talking About Laak), I created something in Dutch for the first time. ‘Vergetelheid’ (Oblivion) – a text, a poem, about the exploitation of migrant workers in Laak – recited to dub reggae by my great example and source of inspiration Lee “Scratch” Perry.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a recording of a performance, but I do have a provisional clip with the text and the music.
